History

The home is not included on the 1897 atlas of Haverford, but is shown on maps by 1908. Its first owners were the Dunwoodys, a family who would become active in the community. They moved into the community at least by 1909, when William Dunwoody was elected elder of a precursory organization to the Llanerch Presbyterian Church.

In 1921, the Dunwoodys' daughter married to a son of the Kuhnle family of 115 Tenby Road. In 1924, William was hit by a car but survived and recovered.

The home was listed for sale in 1951, and again in 1952 for $17,000. It was purchased by the Hoffmans, and was later resided in by the Ruths.
